Some
further information on my car: It seems this car was from California as I found some old literature in it after i bought #6377, plus the fact that it had very little rust in the typical places. I believe i am the third owner, the p/o had it stored for some 10 years. It still has the original paint (115), although it is due for repainting next spring. Everything is original, except for the turbo wheels (volvo) and the Pertronix electric ignition. Many parts have been replaced, as i drive the car to work everyday. It is, as you know, very reliable and fun to drive. It is the second p1800 i have owned, the first a '66S. I have had other older Volvos as well (544, 122 and 142) all very good vehicles. My ES has 160,000 miles on its chassis, and is still a strong runner. It placed second in its class at a recent autocross event, behind a Porsche 914/6. I hope to have a web site up soon - perhaps over the winter. That's all for now. Best to you, Mike Sorendo |
