The Danbury Mint miniature haven't been a toy car but a collectors model in the USA in the eighties or early nineties. It belongs to a number of twenty or thirty international sportscar miniatures you could order with a wooden collectors show case. The miniatures have been posted step by step in undrawn white paper boxes but everytime with a collectors information card inside. The Danbury Mint is pewter produced completely, the bottom is marked with: The Danbury Mint, Volvo 1800 S, 1967, pewter. All details show exactly the characteristic of the '67 to '69 produced Volvo 1800 S cars. The windows have no screens, but the miniature has a complete interior with seats, dashboard, steering wheel and gear lever. The wheels don't move.
