At the end of the production the English manufacturer Lone Star implemented some improvements to the Roadmaster "Impy" super cars and called them Roadmaster "Flyers" super cars. Lone Star changed the bottom plate, used smooth and speedy black plastic race wheels and eliminated the steering. The undersides now have been screwed, the first producted of these cars had only an eliminated "Impy" and a short time later on they are marked "Flyers" at the same place. These new black speedy race wheels at first had a smooth silver wheel cover design and later on five spokes. The jewelled headlights changed into only silver painted ones too. The only interior colour now was green. The new Lone Star Flyers have been sold on blistercards marked with "Lone Star Flyers faster better, low friction race wheels" and for example on japanese red/blue/yellow printed blistercards, too. There have been different box versions for the Flyers as a white unprinted box, only marked with scale 1/58, C.19 Volvo 1800.S, as a rare blue/red printed box and as a little bigger box, showing a drawn green Volvo and marked: Lone Star Flyers diecast metal scale models, better! faster! with race wheels.
