A very rare and difficult to find Volvo 1800 miniature is the 1:24 scale Palmer Plastics kit produced in the USA.

This kit can be assambled in three versions as stock, custom or competition car.

The different car-body parts are creamwhite plastic, other parts like the motor with gearbox, frame and axles, tyres and petrol tank are black plastic and there are a lot of chrome parts too.

This kit - manufactured in the sixties - portrays the early Volvo P 1800 but with rear prototype cowhorn bumpers.

The yellow and lightgreen box is marked: 3 in 1 customized competition car, 1-stock 2-custom 3-competition, replica of 1961 Volvo Sports Coupe, unassambled all plastic scale model kit, complete with decals, customizing accessories, chrome trim, complete engine, separate chassis and movable parts, Volvo No. 6163-98, Palmer Plastics Inc., Brooklyn 3, N.Y.
