The Spanish Eko miniatures are successors of the earlier Anguplas Mini cars. They are made completely with plastic parts and they have clear windows made in one piece. Ekos have silver painted headlights and red or orange painted rear lights. The bottom is marked: Eko, made in Spain, Volvo P-1800, 1/86.

Eko miniatures were produced a very long time from the late sixties or early seventies to the end of the nineties and a collector have to consider different tyre variations and colours.

The oldest Ekos have very, very small and thin black tyres with silver painted wheels and the axles are very small too. Available colours: bluegrey, light bluegrey, dark grey, light green, light turquoisegreen and dark red variations.

The second period of Ekos show other and bigger wheels designed like spoke wheels. This is the most sold variation during the eighties and nineties. Colours are light yellow, red, green and the rarer blue.

The third wheel variation has even bigger wheels with smaller painted silvery hubcaps but larger tyres, which look more original. Colours are the well known versions green, light turquoisegreen and dark red, additional now the new colour variation light grey.

At the end of the nineties a very ugly last variation of the Eko miniatures were produced. The bottom plate together with the bumpers and the front grille is black. There are only two colour variations, a clear white and a dirty dark red.

The early Eko miniatures were sold in clear plastic boxes with black or turquoise plates marked with: Eko, made in Spain, esc. 1/86. Very rare are the special boxes marked with No. 2084, Volvo Sport.

There have been blister cards too and Eko put the last cars into clear plastic bags together with blue and white printed cards.
