The first series of these SSS cars (with fixed thin sheet metal hubcaps) have been sold in wonderfully drawn boxes showing a beige P 1800 (with "V"-emblem but with large Jensen-hubcaps) on a black background, a small Sweden flag, the SSS-international logo with a globe on the top, with a SSS quality toys label with three yellow S and red and white stripes on a light blue ground and an incorrect Volvo dashboard on the large sides and the old Volvo logo on the smaller sides.

This box is marked with: Volvo, friction powered, S-1351, made in Japan.

The second series cars have unscrewable hubcaps to take off  the wheels. At a first view the prototype designed hubcaps of both series look the same but looking on it a second time you will find two little holes to put in a special key to unscrew. These second series SSS Volvos have an additional blue coloured jack, one extra spare tyre, a hubcap and a key.

The nicely drawn new box is blue and yellow with the beige P 1800 (now without the prototype-"V" on the frontgrille), the same SSS logos and Sweden flag, but a man with jack and spare tyre on the large sides instead of the dashboard. All six sides of the box are marked with "Model P 1800 with jack spare tyre and wrench". This later version is called S-1351 B.
