The car was scrapped in the spring of 1989 in Bäreberg, near Nossebro. I happened to be there looking for Volvo parts, and fortunately I had my camera with me. The car was fairly complete, although most of the 123GT-specific parts were already missing. I did manage to bring a few parts home.

Today, I would have arranged for a loader or excavator to dig the car out of the scrap pile, but those were different times. I don't think many Volvo Amazon 123GTs end up in scrapyards anymore...
