You can find production numbers for each model year in the production database.
The graph below shows when the different model years were actually built.
For the cars produced by Jensen in England, we have exact completion dates available in the Jensen database.
Once production moved to Sweden, Volvo began building the next model year starting in August of the previous year.
For example, my own 1800S (#16520) is an early ’66 model that was completed on August 27, 1965.
28234-28238 and 29980-30000 were not built according to Volvo’s build sheets
